Re: Enviro-friendly Home Shop- Your thoughts (rags, etc, found while riding)

Last winter, I found a pair of pants and a bag of bagels on the bike path
that parallels hwy 26.

The owner eventually emailed this list asking about the bagels.

The best find while riding?
I'd have to say piece of mind is the most valuable thing. The rest of
the stuff was just somebody else's lost crap.

(But I have to say the grocery sack full of Playboy magazines I found
when I was a young lad was quite memorable.)

On the subject of finding things while out riding: what's the best find
you've had?  I found a $5 bill (after crashing on wet pave, so it made
up for it, kinda).  Another time a wrought iron fire-poker...little
nerve-wracking riding with it down the back of my jersey (coulda been a
body-poker!).

And, not exactly "found:" someone once gave me $50 to give
directions/lead them to a destination...

I do wipe the washer down after, but it works fine.

Lot's of soap and hot water.

sort of related, I collect shop rags, those pink ones. I don't buy
them, but have  a personally policy of picking them up when found and
bringing them home to use, I've found them while out riding, and hung
them on my bars or cable housing for the rest of the ride.

in your washing machine....

Just curious what are people doing out there tto lessen
the impact on the waste in their home shop?   Garbage, sludge,
chemicals etc.

Specifically, I'm wondering what people are doing with
greasy rags.
