A few years ago I had custom footbeds made (road shoes), and part of the
deal was a cleat fitting. Good things ensued. And replacing worn out cleats
was easy, as I just traced their exact outline on the sole. Now, though, I
have a new pair of shoes that I need to mount cleats on and I¹m wondering if
anyone has come up with (or learned) an ingenious way of re-creating cleat
positioning a new shoe, without returning to the pros (in this case, in
Bend)? I have some thoughts, but was interested in feedback before I got
into it.
