Greetings OBRA racers,

We are less than 2 weeks away from the first MTB race of the season, which will be staged on Sunday April 6 at Horning's Hideout in North Plains (only a 35' drive from downtown Portland).

Here are a couple of updates that I thought you might be interested in:

1) New Race Start Time = 11:00am
Per request of a number of racers from outside the Portland area, we have decided to move the start from 10am to 11am. That should give everyone plenty of time to drive in, register, pick up their OBRA race plates, and possibly even get a warm-up lap in. Day-of-race registration opens at 8:00am and will close at 10:30am. We plan to start on time and all categories should be on the course racing by 11:15am.

2) Tomorrow is the last day to pre-register!
If you plan to race and haven't send in your registration form yet, you should consider doing so. It will make things easier in our side and it will save you time and money on race day. We'll accept all registrations postmarked Fri 3/28 or earlier, even if we won't receive them until Saturday or Monday.

3) New Junior and Unicycle categories added
Per general request, we added a "Junior Expert 18 and under" category, bringing the total number of junior classes to 5 - in addition to our free kiddie races - so we hope to see a great turn-out of "the future of OBRA." We will also have a unicycle race on a shorter course, starting at 2pm.
