OBRA-The Lance Armstrong Foundation Needs You!!

This year's Lance Armstrong Foundation Livestrong Challenge is rapidly approaching-the date is June 29th.
Last year's Portland Local Organizing Committee set a precedent for the number and quality of volunteers-and the Portland model is being used for the other challenge cities this year.

The Portland LOC still needs volunteers-you do not have to live in Portland to help out-and many of the positions only require attending one meeting a month, and then working on event day.

The following positions still need to be filled-and many more numbers can be used.
LOC jobs we need to fill:
v Run Course Chair
v Course Safety / Markings Captain #2,#3
v Start/Finish line Chairs #1 and #2
v Venue Set-up Chair
v Venue Signage Captain
v Local Volunteer Chair
v Info / Mission Booth Chair
v Hydration / Food station Chair

Please-if you have a few hours of spare time between now and June 29th-help us out. If you are outside of Portland, and would like to help out by getting some promotional material for your bike shop, work, etc-I can arrange that also.

If you would like to join the fight as a volunteer (or participant-the website is up) please email me off list and I will send you the evite for the next meeting-which is Wednesday of next week.

Thanks again-and look for myself and other members to be out at various upcoming OBRA races-including Williamette and Mt. Hood-we will be the other "officials" wearing yellow.
