Dear OBRA Members,

Over 25 years ago I was in a bike accident during a race (no helmets required at that time). After 5 brain surgeries and rehabilitation, I've been able to continue racing all these years. In spite of the many setbacks I have faced in my racing career, I have consistently chosen to rise above those challenges and continue with my passion.

Currently I am preparing to go to the Paralympics in Beijing, China. This only happens every four years, and I am very excited to be involved. There are 5 spots on the women's team to the China Paralympics. I've also been invited to compete in Manchester and Wales during May. This invitation is quite an honor. Following that trip, I go directly to Colorado for Nationals and our Paralympic Trials.

The trip to England is paid for, but I've had various other expenses this year. I needed a new track bike and new wheels, plus I need to pay for my trip to Colorado. It all adds up, and I do have limited income.

Many people have helped me financially along the way, and once again, I am looking to the generosity of the cycling community to help me. Any financial contribution would help me with these costs, as well as being tax-deductible.
