The PSU cycling team and the Bike Gallery are hosting a fundraiser for the Brett Jarolimek Memorial Fund. The event will be held Thursday, May 1, at 7 pm at the Downtown Bike Gallery (1001 SW 10th Ave, Portland, OR 97205).

The event is free to enter and will feature free food and free beer (and we're working on wine). All the fundraising will be done through drawings and silent auctions. There will be two drawings, one for smaller prizes, and one to give away a custom Signal Cycles (www.signalcycles.com) and a Veloforma Ultra frameset (www.veloforma.com). The Memorial Fund was created in honor of fellow racer Brett Jarolimek, who we lost last October, in order to support the cause of bicycle safety through strategic partnerships and direct support of projects intended to 1) enhance motorist awareness and education, 2) enhance the awareness, visibility and education of bicyclists, and 3) enable bicycle safety infrastructure projects on a selected basis. This will include funding of grassroots projects initiated by individuals in the community.
