Mike Ripley
Hello,
Me again------How long does the Willamette hang over last?
Answer------4 days
The 22nd Peak Sports Mudslinger Classic is just around the corner and
no---it will not be 76 degree's, but maybe 60 and it says 10-20% chance of
the wet stuff.
We have the soup and bread from Great Harvest, The nice warm Gym to
register, the sweet course with lots of hills to wake up your legs---oh yes,
and friends to meet and see how their off-season went as far as training
went.
This is a great first timer race as the trails are fast and not super
technical-----the mud sprays--or slings and just bring a front fender and
front tire with some spacing and bite if it is wet.
700.00 minimum cash purse 100% payback 20% deep for the Pro men and semi-pro
men and Pro/Expert women (minimum top 3)
Raffle and custom awards at 2pm
*The course*
Perfect!---well after 20-30 hrs of clearing blowdown from all the snow and
wind. (Thanks Gregg and Carl and Mike A)
New singletrack------I have a surprise!
The stairstep climb is in effect for 2008 to start you out 10-15 minutes of
up-up--up---leave the mellow river section for the TOE 50
Big aide station at the top of the clearing where the course splits
2nd stop of the Rivercity oregonxcseries.org series (that team competition
should really get going)
