12 feet is at least a lane of traffic, but for some reason it seems pretty tiny when I think of it on tabor.

For your afternoon consideration, here is the latest from the Water Bureau
regarding the early summer construction at Mt Tabor I mentioned a few weeks
ago

*My expectation is that we will provide a 10 to 12 foot lane that will allow
bike traffic past the construction. There is going to be a period were the
road is closed to all traffic during the installation of the conduit valves
and vaults. I would anticipate that there will be construction equipment and
work through the summer. I do not have the current schedule. I believe Susan
Kelly and Michelle Lostra are keeping tabs on the park actives and
coordinating with the contractor to minimize conflicts.*

Regrettably none of the alternate routes were accepted.

The net result of all this hubub is that the show must -- *and will* -- go
on!
