Well, not to put myself out there, but my "no longer dating cyclists" line refered to my former relationship with Chad Hartley-which had me even more involved with OBRA last year. But, I have been working OBRA events before that-Chad just gave me more exposure:)
I love the organization, and the people are great. I have given my time to 4 races (including a stage race) so far this season-and more than anything, love the opportunity to meet the other volunteers and the riders at the events.
Most importantly, safety is at stake here. I have been at races when we are lacking corner marshalls-and riders get off course, or traffic is unregulated (always fixed)-and we really need those officials out there that have been trained according to the rules of the road and the sport to help support these races and these riders.
