the turnout for the freakbike category looks like it was as big as many of the other categories, maybe a new category to add to XC and 'cross races.

I do not know who had the idea for the zoobombers to come out to short track and do some racing on those REAL hybrid bikes, but I think it might have been one of the more positive things that has taken place in the bike community this summer. It shows just how much we all have in common even when each little special interest division of "cycling" claims to be so different from each other (like dogs and bushes). Wheels, self- propelled movement and encouragement to ride can go a long way to making this a better place to live and ride.
