My brother Nick (former OBRA racer) had a great ride down at Sea Otter,
making the front breakaway and doing a lot of work. This is the course that
circles the perimeter on Fort Ord Rd. (not the NRC circuit race on the race
track where the breakaway lapped the field). If only there was some prize
money!?! He is quoted in the second article linked below, and there is a pic
of him on the podium. It's been fun to watch his development as a rider, his
recovery from his accident, and to see how sacrifice and hard work pays off.
I'm sure he will continue to make a presence in his first season in the
Pro-1 field. Redlands was a really good learning experience.

Nick's "hit-and-run" fundraiser clothing project to help recover from
overwhelming medical expenses related to getting hit by a car while
commuting by bike two years ago. (I bought a kit and they look pretty sharp,
gaining lots of compliments.)
