Mt. Hood Cycling Classic
We are excited to announce the inclusion of a kid's race to run in conjunction with the Stage 1 Prologue May 13th at Tom McCall Park. This will be a great opportunity for youngsters to come and meet the pros get autographs and then take a crack at the same course the pros will be riding. The race will run between the pro women and pro men's races starting at 5:00 p.m. Below is the following details.

3-4 200 meters 5:00 p.m.
5-6 400 meters 5:05 p.m.
7-8 1/2 mile 5:15 p.m.
9-10 Full course (1.5 miles) 5:25 p.m.
11-12 Full course (1.5 miles) 5:40 p.m.
This will be a mass start event and limited to 200 kid's in order to keep safety and racing quality high. The course consists of Naito Parkway Northbound which will be closed to traffic and barricaded.
Cost will be $5
All participants will receive a yellow Live Strong/Mt. Hood Cycling Classic Kid's Race Shirt, custom water bottle, swag bag and participation ribbon.
Registration will open this Friday May 2nd at River City Bicycles in Portland and continue up to Monday May 12th. Registration day of race will open race day at 3:00 p.m. and run to 4:30 p.m. at the Mt. Hood Cycling Classic Expo near the historic McCalls restaurant down on the River Front Park. You must have a parent or guardian there to sign release forms no exceptions.
Come out and show your stuff and then stay to watch the pros!
