Jon,

do you have an e-mail for the neighborhood association, so we can drop them thank you e-mails? I know that I did some e-mail after all the complaining about dogs at mt. tabor, and I am sure some other OBRA folks would be happy to send thank you e-mails too.

Yours, in 63rd place in the B's but at least I was in front of my friend Brian Abers (!) :-))

Folks,

Thanks to all the racers who showed up to Pier Park this weekend. We

hope you enjoyed the race. We realize that the parking situation is far

from ideal, but having people park on Lombard and away from the

neighborhood is a condition that allows us to get a permit to use the

park. It is very difficult to get permission to use this venue. The

process includes multiple meetings with the Neighborhood Association and

Portland Parks. We were not allowed to use the park for 2 years after

neighbors complained about the impact that the race had on their

neighborhood and it would only take a few complaints in the future for

us to lose the park forever.

Thanks to everyone for your cooperation on Sunday.

Enjoy the week and remember, the next race is only 6 days away!
