i think 10 speed is limit to what marketing will be able to fool people into buying (that is i don't think there will be a successful 11 speed). The only advantage is one extra cog. (Ride single or track for a while as many are now doing and you realize that variable leg speed works great.) The disadvantages are many. I am stuck at 9 speed, well as obviously is a lot of others. obviously the jump from 8 to 9 was ballyhooed too, but thin is thin, narrow is narrow, there is a limit, tolerances have to be tighter, frames stiffer, cogsets installed together, etc., expensive chains and cogsets.
I am getting wistful of all the nice road races i am missing. maybe if i get wistful enough i will get motivated to get in shape.

It is the same as Kings Valley if you did not preregister.
Inflation occurs everywhere. Have you noticed what a 10 speed cogset costs versus a 9 speed? Prices keep going up, and expect the cost of races to go up as well. Also, in races that have a smaller exepcted number of participants, the fees need to be higher to break even.

The Southern Oregon crew puts on a great show.
Those in Portland/Salem/Eugene/Bend should carpool down and either
camp or stay overnight.
Remember you can also do the combo:
Saturday Spring Thaw, Sunday Table Rock.
Table Rock IS an Oregon Cup race.
