Fw: Motor Ref Clinic @ Mount Hood Cycling Classic

Hey OBRAites,

Check out the following info below. If you have ever wanted to ride in a national pro race and just don't the fitness, time, or gifted genes to do it then here is your chance! Become a moto ref and get paid to lead the race.

Sincerely,
Chad

The motor referee clinic IS being planned for Mt. Hood this year. Instructor: National Commissaire/Motor Referee Jim Allen. This is a great course for anyone who will be working with Motor Referees (audit OK), those who want to become a motor referee or hone their knowledge of how to be an effective motor referee, or those who want to motor marshal for bigger events. You do not need to bring or own a motorcycle for this class. However, if you plan to take the exam for the "Motor C" designation on your USAC officiating license, you should have a valid motorcycle driver's license and be at least a "Regional C" official (or OBRA licensed official).

In order to fit it into the racing schedule, it will begin promptly Tuesday night in Portland at 7PM at the host hotel. Details on exact room, etc. will be forthcoming. The class will continue Wed morning, and should wrap up before noon.

Mid-week is the only way we could get this class in. Plan on the cost of the class being $25 to cover materials and instructor costs. If we exceed costs due to a good turnout, we'll cut that back. Please RSVP to timeboard[at]hotmail.com so we have sufficient materials and space.
