"Where the Sidewalk Ends" this Sunday, October 21
Not going to the 'Cross race? Got beginner-level friends/loved ones you'd like to introduce to the fun of group rides? Take them on this ride (or tell them about it); they'll love it!
Date: Sunday, Oct. 21
Time: ride starts @ 9:55 a.m.
Place: ride starts @ the Johnson Creek Trailhead, just south of the intersection of Johnson Creek Blvd. and SE 45th (where Johnson Creek Blvd. crosses Johnson Creek). Parking available for about 20 cars, plus a rest room.
Description: This will be an easy-paced, entry-level group ride on the flat, paved, auto-free Springwater Corridor Trail. Perfect for beginners and others interested in a slower paced ride.
Distance: about 25 miles, round-trip. It should take 2-3 hours. We'll go to Gresham City Park and beyond... to the point where the pavement ends, and back. Please bring your own water and snacks. Water/port-a-potties available at Gresham City Park.
Bike: any bike is fine: road, mountain, hybrid, 'cross, recumbent. (The pavement gets a little bumpy in some spots, so your skinny-tire Pinarillo probably isn't the best choice.)
Cost: Free.
Weather: We ride rain or shine! Full fenders & rain gear highly recommended.
Please RSVP to Curt Dewees, River City Bicycles, rcbic-@aol.com, 503-233-5973.
See ya Sunday!
