To all CCX riders from the Officials
We have been having large groups at the races, which is great, but we
need your help in making the race run smoothly. Our number one issue
as always is number placement. You can help us by having your race
number placed on the LEFT SIDE of your body. This means race numbers
should NOT be: folded, placed on the middle of your back, on your
stomach, under camelbacks, on the right side of body, or upside down.
You need to make sure that you have enough pins ( at least 4) to hold
the race number corners flat. If your number becomes unreadable, and
you are aware of it, please call it out when passing the officials at
the finish line each lap.
This past race we had a number of folded numbers and badly placed
numbers and under camelback numbers. When a large group of riders come
by and the official is unable to read the number quickly it causes
numerous other numbers to be missed. We want to be able to give all
the riders the laps they actually rode but if we are unable to read the
number second guessing only goes so far...
If you are riding in a race with multiple categories you need to pay
attention and leave when your group leaves ie. Juniors go in one group
and there are 3 Womens groups and each one starts individually. Last
week we had Women B's leaving with the Women A's group.
Thank you
