WEBCYCLERY MOVIE NIGHT @ McMENAMINS (Old St Francis School - Bend, Oregon)
STARS & BARS - RACING IN THE USA
9:00 p.m. | $5 per person | 21 & over

Like riding downhill fast? Come join the crew of WebCyclery for Stars & Bars -- a new mountain bike film that follows dual slalom, 4-cross, and downhill racing in the USA.

Stars & Bars covers the entire 2007 US race season, from Sea Otter to Snowmass.

With rider sections featuring Cole Bangert, Luke Strobel, Cody Warren, Ryan Condrashoff, and National Jr. champ JD Swanguen, this film focuses on the American gravity race scene, creatively capturing the intensity and determination of some of the country's best downhill racers. Stars & Bars has a great soundtrack, big crashes, and plenty of entertaining personalities.

Features racing and riding in San Diego, Fontana, Lake Tahoe, New Mexico, Colorado, Vermont, North Carolina, Quebec and Washington.

Kevin Gorman, a film critic known for his thumbs-up and thumbs-down reviews with his brother and fellow critic, Mean Todd, has praised Stars & Bars and heralded it as "The sweetest USA-themed mountain bike race movie ever." Mean Todd continued the accolades and added, "As long as you're going to be at McMenamins drinking a beer, you might was well be watching Stars & Bars at the same time."

While WebCyclery Movie Night at McMenamins is a fund raiser for Central Oregon Trail Alliance (cotamtb.com), it is mostly an excuse to get together with a theater full of like-minded cyclists to watch kick-ass bicycle movies, eat some tater tots, and maybe win a cool door prize.
