sorry for the cross post, the BTA are looking for new board members. I served 2 terms on the board, and I would encourage folks who are interested in stuff like making it better to ride bikes for an reason to consider applying.

Personally, I'd also encourage those who are NOT in Portland to apply.

When I was on the board we joked that if a big enough bomb went off on SE 34th and SE Hawthorne in Portland we'd lose half the board.

I am happy to offer insight to anyone who is interested.
