Mike Ripley
Hello,
Just to mention----the weekend of the TOE is graduation weekend, so crashing
on someones couch or camping is the option if you want to be close to the
course. We have 40 or so spots by the Blodgett Cafe which is 5 minutes from
the start line by car. These spots are on a first come basis and you must be
registered to get one.
Questions:
Yes---the team entry must be in by 6/2 to avoid the late fee and you can
send in the first 4 of your team and add 2 more by no later than 6/9. There
will be no substitutions or adds the day of the race.
500.00 first place team (minimum 3 teams)
Masters team 400.00 for 1st (minimum 3 teams)
Cash purse minimum 500.00 for overall as well
The 2-person teams each race the course (50 miles) for a combined time and
yes they are scored as solo participants as well. The 2-person teams do not
have to have matching jerseys and so if you know of someone that is racing
the TOE then give them a call and let me know that you are either a 2 person
male or 2 person female and or 2 person coed . We are gathering up gift
baskets for winning 2 person teams, with a minimum 100.00 in prizes for each
winning 2-person team.
Singlespeed
Open male, open female and 40+ Male
custom Mechanics shirts to the winners
and special prizes.
2 frames to raffle, 3 bike racks and lots of other nice swag
The course is looking great and I hope to see you for 50 miles of fun. I am
glad to see beginners registering as well. This race is about the ride for
70% of the field and I thank all of you ahead of time for your effort in
making this event a success for many years to come.
On a side note---I do need volunteers, 1-2 sweep riders from noon to 5:30
(ride one lap) and 4-6 course people as this is a long event. IF you wish to
get a friend in for free---e-mail me if you can help from 7:45 until 3pm
that day. I have a good 10-14 volunteers at this time, but need those extra
few that make the event as smooth as possible
Thanks
Mike
