Commuting Rack recommendations?

You can always use cable clamps similar to this thing:

Put the padded end around your seat stay & use the screw eyelet as a
rack mount. Just make sure you get a clamp that is the same inner
diameter as the outer diameter of your seat stay (assuming it's round,
though I guess you could bend the clamp...). Then you're not limited
to only using seatpost mounted bags, which don't hold much.

This is also a way to mount fenders on seatstays (or a fork) w/ no
eyelets...

Heya,

My commuter lacks rack mounts but I'm interested in something I can mount
panniers/buckets to. I see a lot of the seatpost options out there but want
to know if they are sturdy enough to actually carry a load.

any recommendations you guys have would be awesome.
