No Snow predicted for the TOE 50
In 8 days the 4th annual TOE 50 will take place and as of now the weather looks better than last years 2.5 inches and 42 degree's that made everyone suffer. Of course with 7 straight races with Bad---ugly weather anything is possible---but for now the forecast looks good.
Sign up by Monday at 5pm and I will be able to make a custom race plate for you with your name and team name on it.
Registration is open and a link to online registration at www.mudslingerevents.com
You can send it in snail mail as well.
Course, Planning to ride the course as it has changed from last year and post a map Monday/Tuesday.
The new section is a old hunting trail and very firm ground. Besides the start of the race that travels by the creek and follows the Mudslinger route for the first 6 miles it is tons of singletrack and some gravel road climbs to get to more singletrack.
If you think it is just like the mudslinger------its not.
The lap point will be at the school this year to allow for more gear and if you need something major to fix your bike that you stash in your car you can get it.
Aide stations
Aide #1 at School and Aide #2 17 miles into the lap
Cytomax, water, water with elete, red potatoes, Great harvest Bread and peanut Butter.
Get your massage before the race to start out with good blood flow---in the gym
Big Black bean burritos starting at 1pm for the super fast people and they will be served until 5:30----I will save a few who finish after that.
Beginners---I will finish you if you do only one lap and place you behind any beginner who does the whole 50----you can do this race, well marked, great aide
Make sure to have gear bags in the gym for aide #2 by no later than 8am
Free socks to 1st 125 entered---so I only have 20 or so left to get to that point
Finisher Pint glasses for all who finish the event, custom Medals----top 3 in each of 20 categories and custom mechanics shirts for the top placed singlespeeds for open men, open women and 40+ singlespeed.
HUGE RAFFLE! 29er frames----size large---no exchanges
3 full rack systems from Yakima, Thule, and wheels, and lots of other stuff from, Deschutes Brewery, Chris King, Specialized, Cannondale, Pressure Pak, camelback, Mountain feed Bag, and lots more.
register the night before from 6-8pm at the Blodgett Cafe 5 minutes down hwy 20 west from Blodgett.
Hope to see you soon
