I wanted to second what Kris said about helping out at Short Track. You get to hang out with some great people (like the Strassers!), you get a chance to put a face to all the names you "hear" from OBRA, you really learn to appreciate how much work goes into prepping/conducting/tearing-down an OBRA event.
You also can't beat free racing if you commit to a minimum of THREE 30-min shifts each night! Great deal in my opinion!
