Mike Rosenfeld
That was a sweet catch on the wheel!. I have a feeling we will be seeing
that video again (and again, and again, and again, and again) on those
reality extreme video shows....start practicing your commentary now Nathan.
*Deep Voiced Announcer with a lead into the video*:
"it was another day at the track and the racers are coming into the final
lap......when something goes horribly wrong!!!!"
*daunting music plays*.
"Elite racer Nathan Frechen finds him self airborne after hitting the wheel
of a down racer....he crashes into the fence with immense force and slams
into the track with a sickening crunch"
*Video cuts out to torso/head shot of Nathan.*
"See I remember hitting the disc, thinking "oooohhhh &%$#", seeing the fence
coming up, and then coming to on the ground with a lot of people around me.
I wish I had known I snagged the tri-spoke on the way down, I would've kept
it. Possession is 9/10ths of the law and all.
Also, I have blue paint from the rail on the underside of my pedal...rail
grind, baby! That'll show all the fixed gear freestylers how we do it at
Alpenrose!"
*Video plays over and over again...slower with each pass...tight in focus on
Nathan hitting the fence and the track....plus a really cool slow-mo of the
wheel snag.*
**
*Clip ends with Announcer saying everyone was ok and went on to race another
day...this leads into video of police chase ending in a wreck in Kansas.*
