Hey OBRA-ites...

I am in the market for a new MTB (all-mountain, vice hardtail,
short-travel XC or downhill) and was thinking that perhaps some of you
are, too. The problem is getting a chance to try them out, without
having to shell out $250+ in rental fees by the time you've ridden all
the bikes you've heard great things about (all the shops I've talked to
only will reimburse ONE rental's worth of fees if you subsequently
buy).

Sooooo, I was thinking that those of us who are interested, and about
the same size (I', 5'9", but with leg length more like that of your
average 5'10" or 5'11" person... i.e, MTB size large, for most
manufacturers) could pick a date, rent a bunch of different bikes, and
go somewhere to ride... we'd get to try out a bunch of bikes without
breaking the bank.

If you're interested, let me know... we'll get a list together and
start working towards a date... and of course, please forward to anyone
who might be interested, but is not on this list.
