Crit Racing Tips for a Begginer?

its always good to go find a nice quiet city block and ride it hard, corner hard and simply get use to cornering, figure out where your pedals might clip, etc.   Ride it with a few other guys so you can get a little more speed.  practice looking into the corner, Try not to ever use your brakes.  If you are smooth and don't clip, and don't do anything funny with your steering or brakes part way through the corner, keep proper amount of weight on the front wheel, you will grip, you will corner, and you will not slid out no matter how fast you are going (bicycle, sub 40mph,  dry pavement...).

remember crits (in my opinion) are more like TT's... cyclo Cross  and MTB.  You go hard start to finish !  great workout, lots of fun.
