Riders with no helmets do Bridge Pedal!

I can't respond directly because I didn't ride Providence Bridge Pedal this year, but I did "hear" that a significant number of POB's didn't wear helmets. I chose to avoid the crowds and plethora of "less than skilled" folks on bikes and rode the 101 mile Covered Bridge Bicycle Tour out of Albany instead. I didn't see a helmetless head all day, and not a cyclist turned ahead of me unexpectedly. ;-) It was a great day!

I rode the Bridge Pedal after not having done it for the last few years and noticed an abundance of registered riders not wearing helmets during the event.

I bring up riding it a few years ago because there were "helmet police" at the start yanking people out before they could start.

What was your experience like?
