You've all heard it before from me: That there is enough interest amongst older Masters racers to warrant perhaps including some specific classes for us along with your 'traditional' category classes and the somewhat limited current Masters offerings.
I was interested in seeing the 60+ Masters start list for the OBRA Hillclimb event tommorrow is one of the largest in the whole field. I got curious and compiled some informal stats from the few OBRA events this season where age categories were offered.
At the OBRA HC chamionship tommorrow, there are 29 entrants in the 50+ to 60+ classes.
At the OBRA TT championship there were 45 entrants in the 50+ to 65+ classes.
Even Larch Mt. (OUCH) had ~20 older Masters >50+
So please, you organizers..think of us when you plan your races for the next season and give us a chance to do some wheel to wheel racing amongst ourselves rather than just "tacking us on" as a "scored seperatly". And you older racers..keep asking..it seems there are a lot of us..maybe they will listen to our requests..
