The First Friday night is free, if you haven't raced Thursday Night =

before and participate in the Wednesday night series this year. I know =

who you are :) Masters A/B racers need to have raced at the track =

before. So if you have never been to the track, this Wednesday night =

could be for you.

Night One, May 5th: Starts 6:30 sharp.

MB - 10 snow ball (1; 2,1; 3,2,1; etc)

MA - 20 lap tempo (1, 1, 1, etc)

JB - Alpenrose Mile

JA - 20 lap points race

?? - Extra Novice Race??

MB - Miss-n-out

MA - *Points race/Miss-n-out

JB - Unknown Distance

JA - Win-n-out

?? - Extra Novice Race??

MB - Long Points Race (30-40 laps)

MA - Long Points Race (40-50 laps)

*Points race/Miss-n-out is when points are given on odd numbered laps =

and riders are pulled on even numbered laps. Can't lap the field or be =

lapped. Rider with the most points wins, rider who finishes best on =

miss-n-out rules wins any tie-breakers.

?? Extra Novice Race is for Wednesday night Riders only. Those who =

haven't raced before get May 5th Free.

Scoring is the same as Thursday Night: 7,5,3,2,1 for each race. =

Individual points will be tracked for the monthly BAR only (all the =

points you win). Team points are where the money is and you only score =

your top two riders per category. Hopefully this will limit the damage =

the big teams do. If it still gets out of hand I reserve the right to =

limit it to the top rider per team per category - I want the scoring =

close. Look for special events each night where your team can score =

additional points.

Night 2, May 12th:

MB - 20 Lap Scratch

MA - *30 lap sprinters points race

JB - win-n-out

JA - miss-n-out

?? - Extra Novice Race??

MB - *Black Jack Points Race (Bust and win)

MA - *Black Jack Points Race (Bust and out)

JB - miss-n-out

JA - 20 lap Points Race

?? - Extra Novice Race??

MB - Long Points Race (30-40 laps)

MA - Long Points Race (40-50 laps)

*In a sprinter points race you can not loose laps. Lapped riders can =

sprint and score points as long as they were not lapped the lap before =

or during the bell. Officials decision on any slackers who get lapped =

too much. IE the goal is to keep the pack together, not slow it down. Go =

slow and the bell will ring every two laps - Curtis :)

*The first black jack points race is nice, points are 7, 4, 3 and the =

first one to 21 or over wins, 2nd one to 21 2nd, etc. The second Black =

jack points race is an all or nothing, 22 points =3D you are out. Gets =

interesting later in the year when we use the normal 5,3,2,1 scoring.

Long Points races will be as long as light and the officials allow.

Brian gets to set the schedule for the 2nd two nights in May, so you =

will have to wait till later for those. Needs to be 5 riders to have a =

race. If there are less than 5 riders we will do match sprints, =

pursuits, etc, but no mass start races with 4 or less. I reserve the =

right to switch your category if you are sandbagging the B's or slowing =

down the A's.

My goal is to get in a novice category for the Wednesday night crowd =

asap. Maybe even a novice womens group (although that is what Thursday =

is for) So come on out and sign up, we will make sure there is a race =

for you, assuming you are a master, or junior. It would be great to at =

least have one or two groups of first time racers give it a go each =

Friday night.

Anyone who has done the Wednesday night session and who has never raced =

at the track on thursday gets the very first Friday Night race Free. =

Cancelled in the event of rain, all track rules apply, helmet, blah, =

blah ...
