I'd like to encourage all of you 'cross racers out there (isn't that pretty much everyone?) to come make a weekend out of our Hood River Double Cross races.  Bring the family and camp at the fairgrounds or check out one of Hood River's great hotels or B&B's.  I've put together some quick links to make planning your weekend even easier.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on September 20th and 21st!

Thanks,

Jeff

Family Information
Hood River is a wonderful community for families and late September is a perfect time for a visit.  The weather will most likely be very pleasant and the trees will be turning to exquisite fall colors.  Check out the Hood River County Chamber of Commerce website ( http://www.hoodriver.org/HRCCC_CategoryTemplate.asp?CategoryINDX=504 ) for a list of some of the amazing activities and attractions on the weekend of September 20-21.

If you’ve driven to town for the race, why not try the Fruit Loop tour (www.hoodriverfruitloop.com) to take in all of the scenic views?  If wineries are more your style, try a tour at http://www.winesnw.com/gorgemap.html .

Camping/Lodging
Camping is available at the Hood River County Fairgrounds.  Price is $15 per night per rig for RV's and $10 for tents.  Electric and water are available at the sites and a dump station is available on the grounds. Showers are also available at $.50 per shower.  Everything is handicapped accessible.
