By now you have recieved the 2002 renewal a couple of different ways, we

sent it out electronically, and hard copy to everyones street address. The

Road number have been received and I hope to have them out next week

(depends on if there is any new snow). Almost everyone who has requested a

specific number has been accomodated, anyone else who wants a particular

number needs to get their request in right away as I will start handing all

numbers out in numerical order by the 17th (regardless of whether you have

had that number for years or not ;-? )



A number of you have sent in your applications with your category

automatically changed. That is not quite how it is done on the road side

of bike racing. I have attached the upgrade requirements below, if you

have any questions please feel free to get in touch with me.



The web page has been constantly updated with the 2002 schedule and notices

about the upcoming conference, banquet and camp. Many thanks to the new

crew doing the Web Page including Scott & Cheryl Willson, and Julie

Sowell. We are attempting to poll all the clubs within the state with a

questionaire so that any rider looking to join a club/team can get info

from them more easily, so stay tuned for that one.

To move from one category to another we have adopted the same rules that

USAC requires.



Only road races and criteriums count toward upgrading for road events.



From a Cat 5 to a Cat 4



By request



From a Cat 4 to a Cat 3



1 or the following:



1. 10 races

2. 1 full season

3. 15 points earned by placing in the top 6 (7,5,4,3,2,1)

4. Any combination of the above



From a Cat 3 to a Cat 2



30 points earned in Cat 3 events with a minimum field of 50 riders



From a Cat 2 to a Cat 1



30 points earned in Cat 2 events with a minimum limit of 50+ riders



Juniors and Masters must earn their points in Category events
