Good news for all types of racers!

1.  Weather looks beautiful - maybe a few sprinkles to keep the dust down on Saturday, but beautiful harvest weather on Sunday.  Perfect weekend to tour the Hood River Valley and see the orchards and the mountain.

2.  You can camp at the fairgrounds Friday and Saturday night.  Best bet for Friday night camping is to turn left just past the toll booth at the main gate and camp along the tree line.  We won't be around to collect camping fees until Saturday evening, so please be honest.  ($10 tent/$15 RV).

3.  We will have coffee and pastries for sale both days, thanks to 10 Speed Coffee (www.10-speedcoffee.com).  The Hood River Valley High School FFA group will be selling BBQ from 10:30 to 2:00 on Saturday.  On Sunday, Cyclosportif
will be there with waffles and Jake's fry shack will have frites (Hooray for both!  It must really be cross season).  Still awaiting confirmation for a taco tent from the Michoacan restaurant for Sunday (best Mexican food in the area).

4.  All of our prizes are from local businesses and we will have a raffle for a big ol' basket of Hood River goodness for a lucky racer who races both days.  Drawing will be held on Sunday at 1:40ish (just before the women's races) - must be present to win.

Can't wait to see you here!

1.  Our schedule is changing slightly to match the new Cross Crusade schedule.  I'll get the flyer changed and posted to reflect the changes.

2.  We're finalizing our course designs and we've got some cool things planned.  If you've raced at the high school before, be ready for some big changes!  (thanks to Brad and Andy for the help with course design)

3. Try to bring the whole family out for the weekend.  Hood River is so beautiful in the fall, and there are tons of things for you all to do.  Come out and warm up, race, and cool down, and spend the rest of the time checking out what Hood River has to offer.  Check out the Chamber of Commerce (www.hoodriver.org) website for a nice peek at what's here.

4.  If you're coming out for both races (and we hope you will), remember you can camp at the fairgrounds.  It's $10 a site for tents, $15 for RVs and there are full hook-ups on site (and showers and we'll set up a bike wash station).  If you do plan on camping, please shoot me an email so I can have a sense of how many.

5.  Remember if you race both days, you'll be entered into the raffle for the Easton EC90 wheels.

Go check out Pain on the Peak or Kruger's Kermesse this weekend and we hope to see you all on the 20th and 21st!
