I've been lugging my mountain bike around with me from house to house for years now, and it's finally clear to me that I'll probably never ride it, and it's just going to waste. If anybody thinks they might be interested, I'll bring it to Pain on the Peak tomorrow so you can have a look. Here's a little bit about it: It's from 1998 I think, and I don't remember what size it is, but it was always just a touch big for me at 5'4". It fit my dad pretty well, maybe a bit small, and he is 5'9". It's a pretty cool metallic red/orange color. It's set up as a singlespeed right now, with a surly chain tensioner (which is in need of some TLC), but I've got all the parts to rebuild it as a geared bike sitting in a box. The Manitou fork that it came with crapped out along the way, and I replaced it with a Judy XC. Besides some chips in the paint from a few good spills, it's in really good shape, and I don't think anything would have to be replaced to make it ready to ride. Maybe the chain... It's always been stored indoors. If you think it sounds interesting, let me know and I'll bring it tomorrow, and if you like it, make an offer, because I really have no idea what old MTB stuff is worth.
