Tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th, is the Rickreall Rampage presented by
Team Veloshop. Here are a couple of important updates:
*Numbers:* BRING YOUR CX NUMBER if you raced at Hood River last week.
This will be your number for Rickreall, Barlow and all of the Cross Crusade
races.
*Pay out: *There will be 100% for the women's and men's A races.
*Weather:* It's looking like a perfect fall day with sun and highs in the
70s.
See the post below or the race
flyerfor more
details about the race:
Come out and hone your cross skills on the final weekend before the Cross
Crusade! Practice that opening holeshot at the Rickreall Rampage this
Saturday and look like a champ come Alpenrose.
THE COURSE:
The race will be held in Rickreall, Oregon, just ten minutes west of Salem
in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Located on a working farm, the course
promises a hybrid of fast and flat Euro-style cross racing along with some
twisty Northwest-style single track. Look forward to fast off-camber
corners, two sets of barriers and a special surprise in the course that is
neither up nor down but instead a little of both!
Single speeders take note - the course is largely flat and this just may be
your day in the sun. Bring those big guns you've been saving.
THE GOODIES:
There will be handmade tamales for sale in both the vegetarian and
omnivorous varieties.
There will be hot new cyclocross T-shirts for sale featuring artwork by
local designer and Veloshop / Ira Ryan racer Sophie Franz. T-shirts are
printed on American Apparel cotton stock and come in boys and girls sizes.
$20
Race prizes will include cash and merchandise for all categories. Sponsors
include Stumptown Coffee (http://stumptowncoffee.com/) and Cameron Winery (
http://www.cameronwines.com/).
Drinking water will be available onsite. No onsite bike wash available.
Sorry kids, ScotchGuard that Subaru interior.
