Bend Area Riders / Wanoga Trails Update

I would be there to work my butt off for you folks over there if I did not
live in Portland. Every race I have done over there has been top class and
a big part has been all the work you have put in on your trails. I hope you
get a huge turnout and make a ton of progress. Thanks so very much for all
your work. Bend racers, pro or not... I hope you can lend some of your
time. Giving of your time is one of the best gifts to others and in this
case ourselves.

The COTA (Central Oregon Trails Alliance) Biketoberfest trailwork party is this coming Saturday, Oct 4th. The work will be focused on the new trails out at Wanoga SnoPark. These trails are being purpose built for racing and events, and the initial 5-10 miles that have been built so far this summer are going to be fantastic! But your help is needed on Saturday to help with the trail building. Meet at the Mt Bachelor Park and Ride on Simpson at 9AM, work until 2, and then there'll be beer and BBQ at the Wanoga parking lot. Just bring gloves, eye protection, water (and a rake if you have one).

Even if you can only make it up to Wanoga for a few hours, we could sure use your help, and you can get a preview of the new trail network. Racers, you really should come help with these trails, as they are being built for you and you know you'll be out there riding them a lot.
