Try Mitch at Alamo Automotive at 69th and Glisan in Portland. Very reasonable and will only recommend the absolutely needed repairs.

Dear OBRA Land,

I need some help finding a good independent volvo repair shop.  I have a 2000V70 XC and ole Jim Fisher Volvo went crazy on me recommending I replace 5 different things for a grand total of $3500 even though they couldn't find the actual problem. I guess they figured if they replaced everything they could hopefully get the warning light to go off, but no garuntees of course. 

So does anyone out there in OBRA land have a recommendation for a reputable Volvo repair guy in Portland or Salem?
