Old Masters racing: Report

Last week a few of us OBRA and NW racers attended the Huntsman World Sr Games in S. Utah for what is argueably the best, most competative, older masters racing in the world. That is what many of the National jersey holders and Euros racing there swear, anyhow..
I spoke with many racers from other areas in the US who said they had local 'age category' events to race all summer long.
Very tough competition, with the bar raised again this year. My form seemed OK but my results were disapointing. I felt normal but rather than my normal mid-pack (at least here in OBRA-land) finishes in the TT and the HC, I came DFL! Better in the crit and the RR, but still..I did beat a former Mast. National RR champ, finally, in the RR.
The results are on the site below..Note some of the times and you will get an idea of the quality of riders attending. Of special note was the spectacular TT venue, starting right outside Zion Nat. park and rolling along the Virgin River. Beautiful course..
