River City Bicycles Cyclocross Crusade
Race #4 and 5 Clatsop County Fairgrounds, Astoria

The new callup procedure worked fairly well last week at Rainier. We heard
lots of comments and have decided to make only one minor change so far.
Since four was the worst number last week, they'll automatically get the
first number on Saturday.

Now on to the real important business. BEER. I'm bringing 45 cases of
Portland Brewing beer for prizes for the last two weeks. Also, we have four
kegs for the Saturday night bonfire, and there'll be a beer garden all day
Saturday and Sunday.

Costumes. Sunday is the costume race, come prepared or you'll be ridiculed
on the Crusade forum.

Both Saturday and sunday will offer a full Cross Crusade race schedule.
Kind of a cross stage race. The courses will be different each day.

For those of you that want even more, bring your running shoes. Chauncey
Curl and the Hash House Harriers will be putting on a Hash run at 4:00pm on
Saturday afternoon. What's a Hash? All you need to know is it involves
running and beer. Cost is $5.

There is plenty of room for camping at the fairgrounds both Friday and
Saturday night.

This is our first stab at a two race weekend. We hope you all have a blast.
