I just got back from doing the 2008 BajaEpic four day mtb stage race in Baja, Mexico, held November 5 - 8th. The race was BRUTAL for mere mortals like myself, but our own Evan Plews blew the competition away, easily taking first place. Evan's ability to ride over all kinds of terrain, including MILES AND MILES of soft sand, impossibly steep rocks and bone jarring washboard was truly remarkable. Evan did all of this on a rigid fork hardtail Scott Scale. Just amazing. For anyone whose interested there are results, photos and soon (hopefully) some video at www.Bajaepic.com
