River City Bicycles Cyclocross Crusade
Race #8 Washington County Fairgrounds
District Championships

Here we are at the final race of the '08 Cross Crusade. This weekend is the
district championships and is also double points for the Cross Crusade
Series. I just returned from the venue and can safely say that even with
this unseasonably nice weather, there will be good quality mud. This is a
new venue for the Crusade and I think it's going to be great. There's tons
of parking and lots of space for teams to set up tents.

Since it's the state championship, there will be podium presentations and
medals for all categories. Several other categories will be scored too,
including Masters 60+ and juniors in two year increments.

PLEASE claim any lost and found. It is all in the OBRA van and is starting
to get a little randy. Any lost and found after this weekend will go to
River City Bike Shop for one week and then will be donated to the Community
Cycling Center. At which point you'll have to buy your own stuff back from
them.

We have booked a super cool space for the Cross Crusade Awards Party. It's
called the Staver Locomotive Building. It's on NW Industrial Way, directly
across the street from our longtime sponsor Pyramid Brewing. Pyramid will
be pouring beer and wine as well as serving food. The awards party is on
Sunday Dec. 7th after the USGP. All ages are welcome. More details will
come. The Gentle Lovers are doing the party planning, so expect the
unexpected.

Don't get too fat over Thanksgiving because the USGP will the following
weekend. The USGP is a series that travels around the US and determines the
who qualifies to go to the world championships. It's basically the World
Cup of cross in the US. There are also categories for all ability levels,
so come out, race and drink a beer.

See you all on Sunday.
