Ecology Center Classic - Lower entry fee - Pro/1/2 Mens

Dear Fellow Racers,

This email is in regards to the Ecology Center Classic to be held over =

Memorial Day weekend. For more race info go to=20

www.wildrockies.org/bikeclassic.

Here in the Northwest we have been debating the issue of entry fee versus =

prize purse. The consensus is pretty clear. Most racers (including pro, =

1,2 men) care more about the cost of doing an event as compared to the =

prize purse.

Because of this simple fact, we have made the decision to lower the entry =

fee for the pro 1,2 men from the $120 previously advertised to $85. This =

will result in a lower overall prize purse of $8000. PLEASE HELP US BY =

SPREADING THE WORD OF THIS CHANGE TO YOUR FELLOW RACERS.

If you have sent your entry fee in already you will recieve a refund at =

race registration.

I want to urge you to come to the event. Talk to folks who have raced here =

in the last two years. This is a quality event that we want to see grow =

into the future.

Thanks Again,

Jeff Crouch

BELOW IS A GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This is an email to invite you to the Ecology Center Classic Stage Race on =

Memorial Day weekend. (May 27,28,29) The race is held in and around the =

great mountain town of Missoula, Montana.

We are excited to announce that this year's prize purse is $8,000. This =

year the event is a LAJORS event as well.

The race starts on Saturday evening with the Twilight Match Sprints held =

on the main drag in downtown Missoula. Last year both sides of the street =

were lined with an estimated 3000 spectators!

The Big Flat Time trial will be held the next morning. This is a classic =

test against the clock that includes some technical turns, a short steep =

climb and a blazing downhill.

On Sunday afternoon the streets around Bonner Park will be shut down for =

the Bonner Park Criterium. This Miss-and-Out event features a figure 8 =

course through the University residential district.

Monday morning's penultimate stage will be the infamous Perma Road Race. =

This is a 51 mile loop (twice for the Pro 1,2 men) riding up and over some =

of the most scenic mountain terrain in the west.
