Commuter headlight advice?

I have been very happy with the Blackburn X8 (dual headlight, Li-Ion
battery) system. It is a bit out of your price range, although you can
often find them on sale for $150-ish. Blackburn also makes the X6 (dual
lights, NiMH battery) and the X4 (single light, NiMH battery) to suit
different lighting needs and budgets. The Blackburn lights are very
bright and seem extremely durable. With the dual beams, one is a bright
spotlight for the road, and one is a floodlight for the surroundings and
for traffic visibility. Both lights have three power settings and a
flashing mode.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Commuter headlight advice?

Does anyone have advice on commuter headlights? (dumb question, I know.)

I'm looking for the brightest lamp I can find in the $75-$100 price
range. It's been a couple years since I did any light research and looks
like a lot has changed since then. Any input is welcome...thanks.
