Greetings OBRA Racers!

We are just two days away from the third edition of the Kruger's Crossing Cyclocross Classic and it looks like everything is shaping up nicely for a beautiful, fun-filled fall day where racers and spectators will get a chance to celebrate another amazing season of cyclocross. In case you didn't receive the email I sent out earlier today, here are a couple updates and reminders I like to share with you ahead of Sunday's races.

1) Bring your Cross Crusade bib numbers!!!
We will use the same bib numbers and follow the same race schedule as the Cross Crusade series, so bring your bib number with you. If this is your first cross race of the season or if you plan to race a new category, you will have to request a new bib number at registration. As always, your bib number need to be attached to the left side of your jersey with at least 4 safety pins, to ensure readibility.

2) Registration:
Registration will be open from 7:45am to 15' before each race. Every racer (including participants of our free kiddie race) will have to fill out and sign a waiver. To speed up the registration process, please bring a filled-out registration form & waiver.

3) The course... and the corn maze:
Earlier this week, I was at the farm and the course looked in great shape and the soil didn't seem as water-logged as in previous years. Obviously, with the rain of the last days, there will be plenty of mud to enjoy, but hey, this is cross!
As far as the corn maze goes, with the large racer fields of late, we have decided not to use the corn maze as a standard part of the course this year. However, we might still add a shortcut through the maze for those folks who like to add some adventure to their race... at their own risk!

4) Parking:
Another reminder that, as usual, there will be a $5/car parking fee for racers and spectators alike. Please bring exact change. Also, since parking at Kruger's Farm is not infinite, we highly encourage you to ride your bike to the farm. It's fun, it's good for the environment, and you'll save $5.

5) Sponsors & Prizes:
Another big shout to our generous sponsors Bike Gallery, Chris King, Clif Bar, Laurelwood, Rapha and Nossa Familia, who all have stepped up to support this race with some great prizes and goodies. We plan to raffle off prizes throughout the day, so you won't have to hang out until the very end of the day to get a chance to win. Winners will be announced through the PA and listed on a whiteboard at the finish area.

6) Free mechanical support:
Throughout the day, Bike Gallery mechanics will be at hand (around the start area) to provide free mechanical support. We will also have a mechanic in the pits to help you out, in case you're having mechanical problems during your race.

7) More volunteers needed!
Yes, we are still in need of a couple more volunteers to help out with parking management, course marshaling, and tear-down. If you like to volunteer - and in the process get to race for free - please shoot me an e-mail.

That's it. I hope to see you on Sunday at the farm for some good times on and off the course. Salvador Molly's will be on hand catering cold and hot gourmet food and Laurelwood craft beers; the Kruger's Farm Market store will serve FREE Nossa Familia Coffee; and racer Jake Rosenfeld will be there baking his ever-popular Belgian frites!

Bring your friends. Bring your family. Let's celebrate another great cross season!

~Kris
