Let's see-how many reasons can I come up with for everyone to come and see us in Eugene this weekend at Camp Harlow:
1. Snow-may sound like a negative to most of you all-but for a small town girl like me-from Iowa-it's wonderful to see snow when it is not 30 degrees below.
2. My sweater-yes, you can say it-it really is that ugly. I challenge you to sport your festive attire-be it red dress, ugly christmas sweater, christmas lights on your bike-red bows, antler ears, etc. Need ideas? Let me know-Psycho 5 on Sunday is my break between holiday parties (I have my department party afterwards)I am sure I can come up with something for you to wear.
3. Treats-yes, I said TREATS! This time when someone asks me for some coffee or food, I will have some there for you to eat-I have been baking all day-once again for parties-and have rationed some for the hungry cyclists that will come visit me in the lodge. I will also have coffee and homeade hot chocolate and tea for those of you that do not like the snow as much as me.
4. Food Drive for Lane County. This will be the last race I will have it set up. Please help and donate food or money to a much needed charity this year. More then ever they are stretched thin helping take care of the needy in Lane County.
5. It's the last bike race of the year-need I forget this is not about me-it is about YOU-the bike racers of OBRA. Two weeks from now, after you have had your fill of family and food-you will wish you would have taken one more Sunday afternoon to yourself, and gone out there and raced your bike.
I know-it should be a top 10 list, but I have a deadline tomorrow morning with this data analysis-baking today was not my bosses definiton of "working" from home...
