Let's just be thankful we live in a part of the world where a week of snow/freezing temps is enough to pass for major news, as opposed to sub-zero temps, or worse yet, widespread shootings, famine, earthquakes, pestilence, etc.

Don't give up hope, folks. It isn't even Christmas yet. There's another
two months to go.

It is nice, however, to be able to drive downtown on nearly empty streets.
It's even nicer to see drivers pay attention to traffic ( with the typical
few exceptions).
