first CCX Natz?
-1975 (Dec 28th) in Berkeley with none other than Gary Fisher cracking the top 10 in the Senior Mens. A certain Jim Gentes (Giro helmets founder) won the Juniors. Only 3 fields (Masters the other) with Jr and Womens only having 8 and 4 competitors respectively.

-1976 (Nov 27) in SUNRIVER. 3 women, 7 juniors, Senior winner Laurence Malone of California for the 2nd yr running, Gary FIsher now up to 5th.

1979 the Championship was in Eugene (Skinners Butte I think) with only an Open Class. Mark Schwyhart (Painting Specialties, promoted many races in OR) was 5th, in front of John Howard no less! Laurence Malone won that one too.

Of course I was still in Grade school and living in WY back then...
