There is a special BB tool. Park and Shimano make them.

If this is a 1 time deal, I'd go to the Bicycle Collective on Belmont and
rent a stand for an hour. It will cost $10.00 and you and have full access
to a lot of tools and supplies that a shop would have but as individuals we
may not justify owning.

I used their shop to remove and replace headsets. They have the right
expensive tools for the job.
