WEBCYCLERY MOVIE NIGHT @ McMENAMINS
BIKECAR
9:00 p.m. | $5 per person | 21 & over

WebCyclery and Aspect Snowboard Shop are bringing a special screening of Bikecar to Bend, Oregon!

This is either the best snowboarding movie with biking in it, or the best bike movie with snowboarding in it!

What started out as a joke turned out to be quite possibly the most creative snowboard/bike movie that we've ever seen. See how filmmaker Joey Fountain and pro snowboarders Travis Parker, Scotty Wittlake, and Louie Fountain turned a seemingly silly conversation about riding bikes on a snowboarding tour into a real-life adventure. Bikecar documents these four men as they not only build a four-person car powered by pedaling, but ride it around the country in search of snow.

Their adventure has them pedaling over 800 miles from Idaho, thru Washington, and all the way to Mt. Bachelor!

Kevin Gorman, a film critic known for his thumbs-up and thumbs-down reviews with his brother and fellow critic, Mean Todd, has praised Bikecar and heralded it as "The sweetest snowboarding pedal car movie ever!" Mean Todd continued the accolades and added, "As long as you're going to be at McMenamins drinking a beer, you might was well be watching Bikecar at the same time."

While WebCyclery Movie Night at McMenamins is a fund raiser for Central Oregon Trail Alliance (cotamtb.com), it is mostly an excuse to get together with a theater full of like-minded cyclists to watch kick-ass bicycle movies, drink a beer, raise some money for local trails, and maybe win a cool door prize from Aspect Snowboard Shop (AspectShop.com).
