John Joy and I are going to meet at the gate on Rocky Point at 10AM this Thursday to continue work on clearing of blowdown. If anyone has time to help it would be most appreciated by our backs. Today we got the first loop (lollypop etc.) on the left inside the gate cleared out. We also did quite a bit of clearing on the second loop (triple bypass/crosstie) on the left after the crest of the hill, but not all. There is still a huge amount of blow/snowdown. We pretty much cleared the road all the way back to gate on the way out as well. This helps landowners, power company, emergency needs, county & state agencies that enter the area at times. So. 10AM Thursday if interested. You will need gloves and water for sure as most is just plain grunt work. Weather sounds pretty good for January. No set time on how long we will work. We are keeping it simple. Today I got out there just after 9 and we left about 1:30. We had a great time visiting as well as clearing. I may not last that long on Thursday. Any amount of help gets trails cleared and road more functional for users.
