Power Based Coaching Certification Clinic with Hunter Allen March 15th presented by Cycle University in Seattle.
Hunter Allen, a featured presenter and the teacher of USA Cycling's Power Certification Course, will be in Seattle March 15th for an 8 hour certification course to teach you everything you need to know to coach with power. Cost is $175 and you will receive .8 CEU's for USAC Coaching licenses. Open to anyone coaching or wanting to coach with power, non-USAC coaches are $250. 8am - 4pm on Sunday March 15th at Cycle University 5440 Sand Point Way NE.
Topics Covered:
* power tools; overview of the top power based systems & what the right system is for you and your athletes.
* power training steps; from your initial testing to detailed wattage workouts
* how to use your power meter effectively
* how to navigate and use Trainingpeaks WKO+ software
* designing & analyzing workouts; targeting specific areas of strengths & weaknesses such as, sprinting, time- trialing, tempo, functional threshold intervals including "sweet spot" workouts, VO2 max, endurance efforts, anaerobic intervals etc.
* what all the little charts graphs and power lines mean and how to interpret them
* how and why you should be racing with power
* training load analysis & peaking at the right time during the competitive season
Space is limited. Only time West of Colorado Springs in 2009. Bring your laptop with WKO+ loaded. Also the same weekend as the Seattle Bicycle Expo nearby at Magnuson Park.
